Merry Christmas!

For the first year in a while I was unable to get Christmas cards out to our family and friends. So please consider this yours. Jace and I hope that you all have a wonderfully blessed Christmas.

Boogie's BirthDAY

Jace's birthday celebrating certainly did not end with his party on Saturday. Monday, which was his actual birthday, was full of special fun too.

He woke up to find a special birthday surprise from Farkle the Elf...

I would hve taken pictures of the awesome birthday cake pancakes I had planned to make him, but he BEGGED and PLEADED for me to let him have a Rice Crispy Treat for breakfast. Not gonna lie, I let him. I mean how was I going to deny a birthday wish??? And well, they are made with cereal after all! lol!
For his birthday dinner Jace wanted "Buffo Da Wild Wings," known to the rest of us as Buffalo Wild Wings. lol. He got his standard Mac & Cheese with french fries. Every waitress in the place made a stop at our table to tell him happy birthday. He's a charmer. =0)

After dinner we headed to the candy store where Jace picked out some special treats and then it was off to the movies. Alvin and The Chipmunks has been on his must see list since he saw the billboard a month ago. He was super happy to finally be able to see it.

We ended the evening with come video games and a minor sugar induced melt down in the lobby.

Today Jace got to take cookie pops to his pals at school, which he was very excited about. All in all I would say that our little man had one heck of a great 4th birthday. =0)

Party Time!

Jace's birthday party was on Saturday and he had a blast! It was snow themed and we had planned on creating a winter wonderland in the backyard complete with real snow, but the weather had other ideas. No real snow to play in, but he didn't care one little bit!

He was far to busy decorating cookies with his buddies...

Noshing on yummy Smore's by the fire...

Playing in the ginormous bounce house and on the swingset with his friends..

And doing snow themed crafts.

He blew out his candle on the first try for the first time...

And had daddy re-light it over and over so his friends could have a go.

And EVERY present he opened got an "OH WOW!" and this face! It was precious!
Jace's birthday party was an absolute success despite the last minute change in plans that the warm winter provided. He had the time of his life, enjoyed his friends tremendously, and was truly grateful that everyone was there to celebrate with him. 4 is shaping up to be a wonderful age for Jace. =0)

Happy Birthday Boogie!!!

It's official...my baby is 4!! I say it every year, but I just can't believe how fast the time flies!
The jump between 3 and 4 was a big one. Jace now has a vocabulary as big as any adult I know, maybe even bigger. His memory is astounding!! I mean I am honestly considering talking to someone about it because it just can't be natural. He can watch a movie one time and recite it word for word weeks later! He is completely obsessed with super heroes and wears a cape everywhere I will let him. He goes to preschool 3 afternoons a week and has mastered his ABC's, numbers to 30 (except that darn 14! He just isn't a fan of 14 and skips it most times), all of his colors, and has started sounding out words and reading a little. The first word he read aloud was STOP and the second was JEEP, which made his daddy very happy! He is still my sweet, caring, cuddly little love, but he is more gross boy than ever before. Words like barf, poop, fart, and butt are suddenly the funniest things EVER. He is totally a momma's boy and has figured out that the fastest way to get out of hot water is to compliment me. (He also does it at random which is completely sweet, but potentially just to throw me off.) Most of all he is by far and away the most amazing little human being I have ever had the pleasure of knowing and he has made me the happiest mommy in the universe these last 4 years. I am amazed every day at how much I love this little boy and am beyond thankful that God chose me to be his mommy. I love you Boogie!!!

I saw this fabulous idea on Pinterest and knew that I had to start doing this every year. So here is Jace's first annual Birthday Interview:
I will be posting all of Jace's birthday celebrating tomorrow. This mama is pooped from all the partying, but wanted to make sure her baby, I mean big boy, had his birthday post up while it was still technically his birthday. =)

Zoo Lights

Tonight Jace and I joined The Minnich ladies for dinner and Zoo Lights. The Zoo opens after hours and is completely decked out with Christmas lights and cool displays. So much fun to walk through, see the animals at night, and enjoy the lights and Christmas spirit. =0)

Jace, my future daughter in law Addie, and me.

The whole gang. (Bless the heart of the man who took this photo. It took us quite some time to get the kids to sit still and get situated. Mostly Jace. lol!)

The kids got to visit the big guy. Jace asked for Spiderman, Batman, and Robin figures.

Jace indulged the Mamarazzi by posing with some of the displays. =0)

And then was completely OVER the picture taking! He's telling me NO MORE PICTURES in this one! lol!

Guess Who's Back From The North Pole

Our elf friend Farkle arrived this morning and even brought Jace a special breakfast treat! We are really looking forward to a great Christmas season!! Jace told Farkle and I this morning that he plans on being REEEEEEEALLLY good so that Farkle has nothing but positive things to tell Santa. That makes mommy REEEEEEALLLY happy! hehe. We hope that all of you are getting into the Christmas spirit and that this holiday season brings you nothing but happiness, gratitude, and pure magic!

It's December... Trick or Treat!!

SOOOO much has been going on the last 6 weeks (Illness, loss of a loved one, loss of my computer, etc.) so I've been unable to blog , but I am back!! I realized as I was about to post my first Christmas blog that I never posted pictures from Halloween! So here ya go!!!

Jace's class party was a hit! His preschool is just awesome and his rockstar teachers just do an amazing job. This is Jace and one of his best buds, Lyric. 2 of the cutest Spidermen I've ever seen!

Mrs. Sheehan captivates the kiddos with her vampire song. =0)

We also had a chance to go to Hobbs Grove for a cool hay ride...

A stroll through the haunted forest with Jace's buddy Marco...

...and making some corn angels in the super cool corn pit!! Yep, that is corn!

Halloween night was a blast! We had some friends over for Jack-o-Lantern pizza and Trick Or Treating. Jace, Marco, and Addie were all adorable!

The first house is always our SUPER AWESOME next door neighbors, The Morris'. Marco had never been trick or treating through a neighborhood so this is his official FIRST Treat picture. So much fun! =0)
Highlight of my Halloween: A little boy, who couldn't have been too much younger than Jace, comes running up to him screaming, "OH MY GOSH!! It's SPIDERMAN!!!!" He throws his arms around Jace and hugs him soo tight saying, "I love you Spiderman! I love you!" Jace totally kept character and pretended to throw his webs at him. It was priceless!
